Senate, DoF Back Lifting of Carriers Tax

The Department of Finance (DoF) and a Senate body in the Philippines have agreed to remove the 3 percent common carriers tax (CCT) imposed on foreign carriers. The 2.5 percent gross Philippine billings tax (GPBT) imposed on foreign airlines and shippers will also be removed.
